About the Hampton Roads Rubber Duck Race

The Hampton Roads Rubber Duck Race is the primary fundraising event to support the Children's Health Investment Program (CHIP) of South Hampton Roads.

CHIP supports children ages 0-6 and their families by assigning nurses and parent educators to follow and guide the child and family toward healthy choices and practices in the child's early development.

In the duck race, numbered ducks are "sold" to participants and dumped together and simultaneously for a quick race in a special track at the Great Bridge Locks. The "owner" of the duck that crosses first will win $10,000!

Bookmark this page and visit often for updates in the upcoming 2018 duck race. Who will win that $10,000? Could it be you? Ducks go on sale March 17, 2018. Call 543-9100 for more information.
